Publix to open new store in Saraland in Mobile County

Saraland Crossing Shopping Center – Saraland, Alabama

Saraland, Alabama. (January 8, 2018) – Retail Specialists, LLC announced today that they are leading the leasing efforts of a 62,400 square foot Publix-anchored shopping center that has broken ground in Saraland, AL. Site work began last week, and the buildings will go vertical in the upcoming weeks with an estimated delivery of late 2018.
In addition to the 45,600-square-foot grocery store, the developers will include 16,800 square feet of retail space in the first phase of the project. The Saraland Crossing Shopping Center development will add another grocery option to the rapidly growing Saraland market. Publix, Jersey Mikes, Marco’s Pizza, Great Clips, and Beaute Nail Spa have signed leases, and the leasing team is coordinating the leasing efforts with a host of other interested groups that have shown interest in the project.

"We are excited to see one of the best retail corners in the northern Mobile submarket transform into a first-class, national-credit shopping center," said Brooks Corr, Senior Leasing and Brokerage Representative at Retail Specialists. The northern Mobile corridor is a strong, growing market, and we couldn’t be happier with the amount of interest we’ve received at this point and the quality of retailers we have secured."

"Combined with the synergy of the new hospital campus adjacent to this site, we believe the grocery store and added amenities will provide additional shopping choices for the community by offering additional, quality retail options to shop and dine," added Corr.

In the second phase of the project, the developers will prepare 9.5 acres for junior anchor tenants.
